How are we going to cover all the topics in women's health?

From puberty to menopause, and everything in between, we want to share information every young person should know about women's health!

More than ever, during the time of the coronavirus, we're thinking about our health. We've always had this nagging feeling that there's so much about our own bodies and topics related to our own health that we don't know enough about.

We thought a great place to start would be topics related to puberty. Then, we'd move from topic to topic addressing the questions and concerns that's always passed through our minds but we didn't know where to turn. Our goal is to ultimately open up the conversation among both men and women about women's health. To a point where asking questions about our sexual health, for example, is just as common as monitoring for the common flu. We will move through each of the major periods of a women's body from puberty to menopause. Through filtering research we will share content in an easy digestible way as we all learn more about our bodies together.

We learned by surveying a few dozen friends, who shared with us the types of content they'd be most interested in and the topics they'd want to learn more about. After going through the surveys of women from a variety of academic backgrounds there was a common thread, they had limited knowledge of their own bodies. Additionally, we consistently noticed the stigma and confusion surrounding general knowledge of women's health.

This led us to focus on the 5 types of content:

  • Educational tl;dr posts on how things work: kind of like ___ 101, tips on ___

  • Educational posts on the wider state of women's health issues

  • Personal stories on women's health experiences

  • Products/services that might be helpful

  • The work of relevant organizations

We are always open to feedback, and can't wait to engage with you all to learn about women's health together.
